Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with a delegation of US investors on Wednesday, led by Gentry Beach, a prominent Texas-based hedge fund manager and close business associate of the Trump family. The discussion centered on Pakistan’s investment potential and economic opportunities.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the US delegation expressed keen interest in investing in key sectors such as mining and minerals, renewable energy, infrastructure development, and technology.
Pakistan’s Investment Appeal
PM Shehbaz welcomed the delegation’s enthusiasm and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to facilitating foreign investors by ensuring a business-friendly environment, simplified procedures, and strong institutional support.
He highlighted Pakistan’s strategic location, a skilled and youthful workforce, and a rapidly growing consumer market as factors that make the country an attractive destination for global investors.
The visit, which comes soon after the new US administration took office, is seen as a significant diplomatic and economic development.
US Investors Recognize Pakistan’s Potential
During the meeting, Gentry Beach acknowledged Pakistan’s vast economic potential and expressed his delegation’s eagerness to explore investment opportunities across multiple sectors. He commended the government’s pro-investment policies and conveyed confidence in the country’s growth trajectory.
The statement further emphasized that this high-level engagement reflects the government’s proactive efforts to attract foreign direct investment, drive sustainable economic growth, and create job opportunities for Pakistanis.

Following the US presidential elections, Beach spoke at an event at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, where he praised Pakistan’s resilience and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
“Pakistan has made immense sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, losing thousands of lives. The country deserves significant recognition for its efforts,” he stated.
He also described Pakistan as an “incredible country” with an investment-friendly environment, particularly for US investors under the Trump administration.
Beach emphasized that Pakistanis are eager to work with the US as equal partners and good friends. In his speech, he urged President Trump to strengthen ties with Pakistan, advocating for deeper cooperation and a stronger partnership between the two nations.
